Troubleshoot and FAQs

If you are having any issues with setting up your new Work by Tram card, please see below:

  • Q. I have tried to set up a new account, but it says 'duplicate account'. What do I do? A. This may be because you already have an account for a Pay-as-you-go card or a Robin Hood Tram and Bus account. If you're new to the Work by Tram scheme, please use a different email address when you sign up and follow the 'new customer' instructions above.
  • Q. I have applied my UVC code to my work by tram pass, but it's not scanning on the green card readers. What do I do? A. It may be that you still need to collect/download the product to your card. Please click on the following link for information on how to do this: How do I collect/Download my season pass extension?
  • Q. I have applied my UVC code to my online account, but I have never had a tram-only season pass. What happens next? A. You may have logged into an account that is connected to the Robin Hood tram and bus network or the Pay-as-you-go card. You need to have an account that is for tram only. In order to remove the UVC code from the Tram and bus or Pay as you go account, you will need to let us know your UVC code and Customer reference number. Your customer reference number is listed on your online account. Send these details along with some further information to info@thetram.net
  • Q. Can I have the Work by Tram card on my phone? A. No, unfortunately, you can't. At the moment, the only option is a physical card that you will need to scan before each journey.
  • Q. Can I add my Work By Tram card to my Robin Hood Tram and Bus card or Pay as you go card? A. No, they are separate products and therefore you will need an account that is for the tram only.
  • Q. I have a Tram-only online account, but I can't log in or I forgot my Password. What do I do? A. If you have not been able to change your password or you're unable to log in, contact our team and we can reset the password for you. You can reach out via WhatsApp on 0115 8246060. Please confirm your name, date of birth and postcode.
  • Q. Can I use the UVC code on my NET GO! account? A. No, the code will not work on NET GO!
