How do I pay for my journey via Contactless?

Contactless payments can be made by scanning your payment card or NFC-enabled mobile device against our lime green card readers.

Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Currently, the NET lime green card readers are only able to accept payments for adult single and all-day tickets. Any students or under-19 using this service will be charged adult prices.

Using contactless is simple. Simply touch your card or NFC payment device against the lime green card reader. The screen will show a green tick to let you know the payment is successful. Jump on the tram!

If you're making a full single journey you don't need to tap/touch off when you alight the tram. Just make sure you touch on for your return journey and you'll be charged the same as an all-day adult fare.

You won't get a physical ticket, but not to worry, simply present your card or payment device to a member of staff if they request to see your ticket. Their machines will be able to confirm you have paid for your journey by checking your card or phone against their devices.
