Due to industrial action, tram services will be affected between 26th September and 3rd October. During this period, staff will strike on 26th and 27th September and on 2nd and 3rd October. Staff will also carry out 'action short of strike' between 28th September and 1st October. During the period of 'action short of strike', staff may refuse or cancel overtime, and therefore there is the potential for further impacts on tram services during the week. 

Whilst every effort has been made to minimise the impact on tram services, we've had to make the difficult decision to stop tram services on the days when staff will be on strike. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause to our customers, especially those travelling to Nottingham's Goose Fair. Further information and FAQs are listed below.

Goose Fair tram frequency

We will be operating a slightly different frequency between 28th September and 1st October. During the Goose Fair period, trams will operate from every 8-10 minutes, with more frequent trams operating later in the evening to support our customers getting to and from the Goose Fair next to The Forest tram stop.

FAQs

Q. During the strike days, can I use my tram tickets on the buses? A. Buses will not be accepting tram tickets during the strike.

Q. I have a season pass, will my pass be extended? A. We will not be offering season pass extensions due to the strike.

Q. Can I claim a partial refund on my season pass? A. Whilst we can't offer a partial refund, you do have the right to claim a refund on your season pass in line with our refund policy. See our Terms and Conditions page for more information.

Q. I have a weekly ticket or a 1-month season pass, can I claim a refund? Whilst our terms and conditions on refunds do not account for 1-month or weekly tickets, we will be able to calculate a refund, minus any of the time already used on your ticket. Q. Can I still board a tram to visit Nottingham's Goose Fair? A. There will be no tram service operating on strike days (26th and 27th Sep, 2nd and 3rd Oct). Trams will be running to all stops on all other days, including The Forest tram stop where the Goose Fair is located.

Q. Why are you unable to operate a limited service during the strike days? This is for safety reasons. Whilst some staff may not be joining the strike, we've made the difficult decision to stop all tram services as this is the safest thing to do.

Q. Why is the strike taking place? A. We have been in discussion with the GMB Union to agree on a new pay deal for our staff. As we have not been able to reach an agreement, members of the GMB Union have voted in favour of industrial action.

Q. Can I still park my car in one of the park-and-ride sites on the strike days? A. Yes. During the strike days, you may wish to park your car and use alternative means to reach your destination. Please note that you will still need to be parked correctly in a bay. Disabled bays are still reserved for blue badge holders, and parent & child bays are for users travelling with a baby or a child who still requires a car seat. On all other days, if you are parking in our park-and-ride sites, you'll need to use the tram. Those parking without using the tram services on non-strike days may be subject to having their vehicle clamped.
