Due to industrial action between the 27th of September and the 6th of October, we will be operating a limited tram service.

Whilst every effort has been made to minimise the impact on tram services, we will only be operating a limited service on selected dates.

For safety reasons, we will not be operating a tram service to the Goose Fair site and therefore we will only be operating a limited tram service which will terminate at Wilkinson Street once the fair has opened.

FAQs

Q. During the strike, can I use my tram tickets on the buses? A. Buses will not be accepting tram tickets during the strike

Q. I have a season pass, will my pass be extended? A. We will not be offering season pass extensions due to the strike

Q. Can I claim a partial refund on my season pass or weekly ticket? A. Whilst we can't offer a partial refund, you do have the right to claim a refund on your season pass in line with our refund policy. See our Terms and Conditions page for more information

Q. I have a weekly ticket or a 1-month season pass, can I claim a refund? Whilst our terms and conditions on refunds do not account for 1-month or weekly tickets, we will be able to calculate a refund, minus any of the time already used on your ticket. Please contact our customer relations team at info@thetram.net

Q. Can I still board a tram to visit Nottingham's Goose Fair? A. No, for safety reasons we will not be able to service the Forest tram stop during Nottingham's Goose Fair. See the above timetable and maps for more information

Q. Why are you unable to operate a limited service on all of the days during the strike? This is subject to change depending on staffing levels. For safety reasons, we are unable to operate tram services without the required number of network managers and network controllers. If we do have enough safety-critical staff working in our control room, we will be able to operate a limited tram service as mentioned above

Q. Why is the strike taking place? A. We have been in discussion with the GMB Union to agree on a new pay deal for our staff. As we have not been able to reach an agreement, members of the GMB Union have voted in favour of industrial action

Q. Will I still need to buy a ticket or scan my travel card if I'm travelling during the strike? A. Yes, if you are using the tram service during the strike whilst we are offering a limited service, you will still need to purchase the appropriate ticket for your journey. For more information on our tickets including prices, please click here

Q. I'm not able to use the trams, or the available tram services do not reach my intended destination. Can I still park my car in one of the park-and-ride sites? A. Yes. During the strike, you may wish to park your car and use alternative means to reach your destination. Please note that you will still need to be parked correctly in a bay. Disabled bays are still reserved for blue badge holders and parent & child bays are for users travelling with a baby or a child that still requires a car seat

Q. Is the NET Travel Centre still open during the strike? A. No, it will remain closed during the strike

Q. I have ordered a travel card and I need to collect it from the travel centre. What can I do? A. I'm sorry, but as we're closed you will not be able to collect your pass. Please keep an eye on any updates and if anything changes, our shop will be open as normal. If you would rather have the pass posted, please reach out via WhatsApp or email and we'll get that sorted as soon as we can
