Can I board the tram in a wheelchair or mobility scooter?

Yes, you can. All of our trams are low-level boarding, meaning that the entrance to the tram is in line with the platform.

All wheelchair and mobility scooter users must access the tram through the double doors.

For wheelchair users, we have dedicated wheelchair spaces on every tram. Please position your wheelchair with your back against the backrest in the dedicated wheelchair space and apply your brakes.

Mobility scooters must also park in the dedicated space as above. For larger mobility scooters this may not always be possible. We advise larger mobility scooters to board at the double doors and position in the direction of travel and not sideways. This will ensure you have more stability should the tram come to a sudden stop.
